Introduction
The Beyond Silence project was created to address one of the most pressing challenges facing young women today: domestic violence. Our mission is two-fold: to empower împuternicire young women who have experienced violence by providing them with knowledge, support, and safe spaces, and to equip youth workers with the essential tools and strategies needed to offer effective, life-changing assistance.
Through international collaboration between partners from Romania, France, Turkey, and Lithuania, the project has developed key resources designed to create a tangible impact at both local and European levels. These practical tools serve both professionals and young women, fostering resilience, self-empowerment, and stronger communities.

From Victim to Survivor: A Journey of Recovery
Maria enters the DGASPC (Child Protective Services and Social Assistance) offices, shattered and terrified. Instantly, a dedicated multidisciplinary team forms around her—a social worker, a psychologist, a medical professional, a police officer, and a lawyer. Together, they execute a coordinated six-step framework: Case Identification, Needs Assessment, Recovery Planning, Service Provision, Progress Monitoring, Successful Case Closure. Through tailored therapy, vocational training, and robust legal support, Maria’s trajectory shifts. Months later, she steps out into the world—financially independent and psychologically healed. This is the story of a woman who moved from silence to strength, powered by seamlessly coordinated institutional support.
On May 20th, at the “Opportunities for All with Erasmus Plus and IVAIGO” event,I had the distinct pleasure of presenting Beyond Silence, Beyond Silence projecta project I am proud to coordinate.
We dove deep into the critical issue of domestic violence, discussing how our initiative raises awareness and provides survivors with the resources they need to break the silence.
