We spent an incredible week in Évora, Portugal, dedicated to exploring the circular economy—the sustainable future we all strive to build. Unlike the traditional linear model, a circular economy is a system where "waste" is transformed into valuable resources, and products are designed from the ground up to be reused and recycled. Throughout this international project, we analyzed concrete, actionable ways to turn this vision into reality.
We unlocked the secrets of circular systems alongside passionate peers from Romania, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, and Estonia. Every workshop offered fresh perspectives and creative ideas on how to minimize waste, repurpose resources, and redesign production processes for a positive environmental impact.
Daniel Agape, project participant, shared his experience: "I had the wonderful opportunity to learn about the circular economy firsthand, exploring diverse viewpoints and innovative approaches to sustainability."
We walked away with a profound understanding that transitioning to a circular economy goes far beyond simple recycling; it requires a complete paradigm shift in how we produce and consume. From initial product design to waste management, every stage can be optimized to keep resources in use for as long as possible.
It is truly inspiring to see how six different nations can unite to co-create shared solutions for the challenges of tomorrow!
